Abarth? Yes, you have read well. The Yamaha XSR900 Abarth Cafe Racer is a reality. Although it may seem strange to you, the Japanese house and the Italian sports car brand Abarth, it is not the first time they work together to make a machine worth admiring. Several years ago we were taught the Yamaha FZ1 Abarth.
The present collaboration of these big manufacturers of the world of the motor, offers you a motorcycle of series completely transformed and personalized. Bringing you a model with current technology and more sporty, ready to enjoy the coffee style and retro roll. In addition, it is a limited edition of 695 units worldwide, which makes it soon to become a collector’s item.
In case you want to enjoy a bike ready fresh out of the factory, the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth Cafe Racer saves you the long process of having to put yourself to customize in this style and homologate.
Put the key in the ignition, start and GAS! Here’s what you’ll get:
The front has incorporated a minimalist semi-car made of carbon fiber leaving it unpainted, plus a small dome. Front mudguard also in carbon fiber. The lighting is produced thanks to a round headlight of classic style. The sporty steering with low position is thanks to the handle of a piece of clubman style that imitates the form of the semimanillares. All these pieces give you the touch of racing bike.
Central and mechanical part: Fuel tank of about 14L capacity. Standard comes with aluminum covers painted in gray with typical Yamaha racing lines and the Abarth seal in red. These covers can be easily removed in case you want to customize them to your liking. Inline 3-cylinder engine with a cubic capacity of 850 cc and quite good power for a coffee maker. With 115CV and a pair of 87.5 Nm at a rate of 8,500 rpm, this fag has to transmit very good sensations. In addition the design of the engine with liquid cooling and a fine tuned technology, make it have a good consumption with respect to the displacement, weight and power. Advanced for good performance, it has anti-recoil clutch that comes in handy when you reduce speed fast. Plus an electronic control system that allows you to choose between 3 driving modes as well as a traction control that can be deactivated.
Final part: Colín made of carbon fiber with a line that perfectly follows the tank and seat single-seat upholstered with red cross-stitching, accentuating comfortable driving and racing. Inside the tail is the round, small round tail light. In the final part has included the minimalist aluminum license plate that we like, along with the license plate light and the rear indicators. Removing the typical “plasticazo” that worsens both the image of a motorcycle. Having finished this area, we leave one of the key parts of this version. The spectacular Akrapovič exhaust, titanium manifolds in 3-1 configuration and ending in two titanium bullet type silencers with a touch of matte black. Aside from reducing weight and improving performance; the roar has to be celestial music Brooommm, brooommm! From my opinion, I think the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth Cafe Racer is one of the best options out there on the market. Lightweight, design that joins the modern with classic, powerful, Akrapovič exhaust as standard and a style already finished and homologated that makes you enjoy it from the first day;) I leave you with the video and then you can visit the official website of Yamaha XSR900 Abarth, to see their price and others.
