Volkswagen has to recognize the hilarious appropriateness in calling their large, brawny, all-important crossover SUV the “Atlas,” and I applaud them for that. Even if it’s an uncharacteristically normal name for a brand that over the years has given the world the “Bora”, “Tiguan” and “Scirocco.”

It will, however, lend itself to certain philosophical and literary jokes, as Engineer_I_am pointed out:
