The Bolt M-1 can push out 5,500 watts to hit speeds up to 40mph, or it can be scaled down to 1,000 watts to be ridden like an e-bike. It relies solely on battery power and doesn’t use any oil or gas. It has varying modes, including an economy mode that limits it to 1,000 watts for a 50 mile range and a Sport mode that pushes 5,500 watts with a 30 mile range. It features a computerized control system with passcode protection, a USB phone charger, and a Bluetooth-connected mobile application. The Bolt M-1 charges to 90 percent in just 1.5 hours. Also notable is that it weighs just 140 pounds, so it’s not nearly as heavy as a motorcycle.
